The 2016 national handball league MVP Felix Mukunzi and teammate Chester Alworunga are the players likely to set the pace as Ndejje University battles Strathmore University from Kenya in the final on Monday at Kenyatta University.

The duo were outstanding on Sunday as Ndejje came from four goals down in the first half to thump Kenyatta University 21-14 at their home ground in Nairobi to book a slot at the handball final against Strathmore who had also beaten Mt Kenya 19-14 at the same venue.

Ndejje was by press time leading the medal bracket with 21 gold medals and according to the handball coach George Isabirye, they also plan to win Monday's game in a bid to add another medal to better their chances of retaining the overall trophy.

"We expect a stiffer contest being that we are playing a home team but we are also very prepared because we also need to scoop gold in handball in order to place Ndejje in a better position of reclaiming the overall title," said Isabirye

Meanwhile in netball, Ndejje was at press time battling fellow Ugandan side Kampala University while Uganda Christian University was also up against Kenyatta University in the semi finals.
