He further urged them to speak with a unified voice on the Kingdom issues regardless of their political affiliations.

"I am happy that I have met you as MPs for the first time at my palace, and I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the duties you have done for Busoga and the country at large," he said.

Gabula told MPs to desist from acts of intrigue, division and black mail among others but focus on being one voice to carry out their responsibilities well.

"No one is going to come to Busoga and get it out of poverty when we are here, so let's behave where necessary bearing in mind that Busoga is upon us," Gabula said.

He observed that there had been a big gap in communication between the kingdom and political leaders who include MPs but promised that the Kingdom will harmonize everything so that information from the Kingdom is always at their (MPs) fingertips.

"Busoga has faced a lot of challenges where political leaders mix politics with cultural issues and on the other hand, some royal chiefs from Busoga being partisan, this should stop. I will continue to talk to those royal chiefs who have indulged in partisan politics so that they desist from it," Gabula observed.

Gabula said that one of the factors that are keeping Basoga behind in development is mindset and urged the MPs to prepare and sensitize people on what they are supposed to do.

"Let's prepare our people and sensitize them massively on Agriculture, education and improvement of standards of living in your constituents in order to show President Yoweri Museveni that Busoga is ready and can implement government programmes," Gabula said.

He further called upon MPs to sensitize Basoga who have land to process land titles for their land instead of using the traditional way of a Kiroowa to demarcate land.

He said Obwa Kyabazinga Bwa Busoga will seat with Busoga Kingdom Prime Minister Dr. Joseph Muvawala and specify some of the special activities that will require financial support as Kingdom from MPs.

Prior to the Kyabazinga's Speech, Busoga Kingdom Prime Minister Dr. Joseph Muvawala Nsekere told the MPs about the state of the Kingdom which included taking over assets of Busoga Kingdom of which most of them lack land titles.
