Breakdance Project Uganda grows stronger every passing day that goes by. And if there is an activity that is ensuring so, it is the Breakfast Jam.  The Breakfast Jam grand finale that was held over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) at the YMCA Basketball court was laced with such adrenaline.

Every group seemed to put their best foot forward. It was an acrobatic gala fused with thrilling and jaw dropping dance synchrony. Both events started at 2:00pm, with showcases from different dance artistes.

Then the B-Boy battles began. Dance groups from across Kampala battled under the stewardship of judges, Mark Kaweesi, B-boy Mefo, (Poland)B Boy Hazan.

Yet, apart from the Breakdance for school group, the only group that was going to overthrow last year's winners; Hit the Beat was the one with the shows favorite dancer, a Tanzanian chap called Mbwana Kimbosha Mbwana.

He brought the heat with energetic summersaults, head-spins and eclectic top-rocks and fluid air-flares. He was as good on the top as he was on the ground. His artistry wielded all the prime elements of dance.

His facial expressions were much in sync with the rest of the body on every stroke.  Even when popping, his movements weren't matched by even the very best in Uganda.

In a brief interview with this News Paper, he relayed that he had been dancing for 12 years. And it sure showed itself when, during a semi-final duel with an all-star-cast group, the Blazing Flow comprising of B-Boy Ambrose, Eric Sama and B-girl Keysha, he pulled off a powerful puff adder stroke the Ugandan audience had never seen.

Thunderous ululations engulfed the dance arena, but it, much to the crowds dismay, wasn't enough to take them to the finals.

Hit the Beat, comprising of Moss Trixx, Eric Fullmoon and Moze the Beat Boxer battled Blazing Flo to win the night.
