One of them is said to have faked a case of robbery of a motorcycle.

Two brothers are in police custody in Soroti district on allegations of theft of a motorcycle and being in possession of stolen property.

The Eudu siblings, one aged 20 and the other 25, are residents of Campswahili ward, Northern Division in Soroti Municipality.

One of them is said to have faked a case of robbery of a motorcycle and reported to Soroti Central Police Station.

The bike in question reportedly belongs to Moses Opio but James Eudu had been using it for more than a year.

According to East Kyoga regional police spokesperson, Michael Odongo, Eudu claimed that the motorcycle he had been riding was robbed of him by some people he claimed to have put him at gunpoint in Campswahili ward.

But Eudu made a statement at Soroti CPS after he had sent the motorcycle number plate to his brother in Mbale.

Police suspect that some of the motorcycles claimed to be stolen from boda boda riders in Teso sub-region are being faked so that the owners lose them.
