The 2015 Nile Special, USPA female badminton player Tracy Naluwooza will need to look beyond just her age if she is to win the women's singles at the ongoing All Africa U-19 Championships in Morocco.

The 12-year-old who is representing Uganda at the week-long event ending August 29 together with three others Davis Senono, Brain Kasire, Husina Komugabe have all set their eyes on the individual events after they were knocked out of the team events.

The Ugandan representatives recovered from two earlier defeats as they beat Seychelles 3-2 in their last group stage match to finish with two points in third place in a table of four teams.

In the match against Seychelles, Brian Kasirye beat Jie Luo in the men's single before teaming up with Davis Ssenono to beat Fabian Gerry, Renaud Jakim in the men's doubles.

In the mixed doubles, Ssenono paired with Husina Kobugabe to beat Gerry and Remie Zaher while they lost the women's singles and doubles later.

Earlier on, Ugandan had fallen to Egypt and South Africa 4-1 respectively in Pool A.

Leading their table was Egypt and South Africa with four points each while Mauritius was at the top of the other table with four points followed by a tie between Algeria and Zambia ahead of the semifinals and finals of the team event today (Thursday).

Meanwhile the individual events are scheduled to start on Friday.
