Kampala minister, Beti Kamya and the Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago, have clashed before MPs on the presidential affairs committee.

This after Lukwago insisted that he would not discuss any matter with MPs apart from USAFI market issue.

"We received a letter from the vice chair of the committee calling us to discuss three issues. I called the Lord Mayor and told him that I wasn't ready but he went to radio assuring people that he was ready to appear," Kamya told the committee.

But Lukwago insisted: "All the issues that you want to be presented here must be presented before the Authority first. I find it irregular for the minister to present policy issues before deliberations by the City Council."

It took the intervention of Kasanda South MP Simeon Nsubuga: "You're here to serve the people of Kampala. We want you to come here when your one as KCCA. Lukwago, Kamya, Musisi, why don't you work together? "

Kamya apologised to MPs for the poor impression shown here and promised to create harmony.
