Wakiso hospital shut after Museveni fires staff

There are about three persons in uniform on guard at the health facility.

After President Yoweri Museveni pulled a rabbit out of a hat and sacked all but one health workers at Mpumudde Health Centre III, Nakawuka on Wednesday, the health facility is now under lock and key with a watchful eye from the Uganda People's Defense Forces.

Both the two blocks that make the health centre located in Kajjansi town council, Wakiso district, have heavy viro locks hooked at the metallic doors (at the entrance), with not a sign of activity anywhere on the compound.

There are about three people in security uniform who constantly pace the compound apparently to keep the facility secure.

Patients who arrive are advised by the UPDF soldiers to seek services at another nearest health facility and told that President Yoweri Museveni sacked all staff at the facility.
