Parenting: Modelling character for our children is paramount

There is a story we grew up hearing. It was difficult verifying its authenticity, but it described the importance of parents taking care what they said and did before their children.

Of course this is something everybody has heard something about, yet, strangely, many are still caught on the wrong foot every so often.

Royal College School rallies villages, schools to plant trees

When the proprietors of Royal College Namugongo, a secondary school located a few miles after Namugongo shrines, in Wakiso district; started its main campus 10 years ago,  the environment was all bushy and there were hardly any homes in the neighbourhood.

 

Years down the road, so many estates and schools opened up near it and the area has quickly cleared all forests around the hills in the area.

Realising that there was a looming danger since most forest were razed down by new settlements, the proprietors of the school started a drive to have more trees planted in the area.
