The Uganda National Softball team has received a much needed boost in personnel.

Crossley Magdalena and Crossley Maria, the two professional Canadian based players with Uganda roots have chosen to represent the Country at the World Championships in July in Canada.

The development comes at a time when Uganda is struggling for experience as most of the players have never been to a major international championship, and certainly these girls will offer a lifeline to the team.

"This is a great injection to the squad and it has come at the time we need it the most,"said Denis Kasozi, Chairman UBASA.

Magdalena and Maria are first baseman and catcher respectively with a playing experience in Canada and honestly they can add some steam to the team making its first attempt at the world stage.
