Parents arrest head teacher over theft

Ronald Nyongesa was netted by the parents on Friday while at the school and taken to Buhehe police post where he recorded before given police bond.

Parents of Busubo primary school in Buhehe sub county Busia district have arrested and handed over the school head teacher to police over mismanagement of school funds.

Ronald Nyongesa was netted by the parents on Friday while at the school and taken to Buhehe police post where he recorded before given police bond.

He was accused of mismanaging shillings 1.3 million according the Clement Makoha the chairperson school parents' teachers association (PTA). Makoha said,  he abused the money  that was meant for teachers who are not on pay roll, PTA meetings and UPE and examinations fee which the pupils did not sit for.

Makoha said they were compelled to take action having severally pleaded with Nyongesa to refund the money but in vain.

Nyongesa was detained at Buhehe police post where he was given police bond but the parents confiscated his motor cycle registration number UDQ 665Y
