Corporate League Chairman Richard Okot was impressed by the standard of competition at the third outing of the Corporate League at Mandela National Stadium Namboole on Sunday.

Okot said that unlike in the past where competition was not balanced due to mercenaries, this time it was fair.

"We have actually reduced on the number of injuries because people competing are genuine employees of the different corporate companies," Okot stated.

"I'm impressed that companies have complied with rules and the competitions are becoming more colourful with even no complaints," Okot added.

He added that on August 1th3, the Corporate League will conduct a corporate social responsibility activity in Karamoja where the corporates will donate to the people.

"We want to be part of the Karamoja people and we shall have activities there and also donate to them," Okot added.

The companies competed in soccer and climaxed the day with athletics in the 100m, 200m and 100x4 relays.

In the women soccer, Jackie Nassali and Shakira Nalwoga scored a goal each as She Corporates defeated Wakiso Hills School 3-0.

The next outing will be in June with teams competing in Netball, Soccer and volleyball.
