May 17, 2016

The crown is worth €5000

Leah Kalanguka who was crowned Miss Uganda in 2014 is currently the most voted for contestant at the World Next Top Model 2016 pageant with over 3000 votes.

Brazil is second in the race with 1935 votes; Greece comes third with 907, Philippines follows with 755, and Cyprus 584 votes.

Kalanguka who is currently in Lebanon for the World Next Top Model pageant along with 39 other contestants, is doing well so far in her quest to land the €5000 crown.

Away from taking to social media herself to get people to vote for her, friends, working associates, and various fashion and beauty brands are making a campaign to keep her in the game.

Jarom Model Management, Miss Tourism, Miss Uganda, Crystal Models, Fashion Society of Uganda, Photo for Fashion, and others are among the many brands pushing the campaign.

The campaign is paying off and as of late it has drastically pushed Kalanguka from third in the past two days to the top.

Renata Hranova, Kalanguga's manager said that if Uganda keeps voting for her it will get her closer to winning the grand prize.

"After the voting is done, 20 contestants will remain to continue with other activities; fashion show, charity work, and meeting officials," Hranova said.

The pageant officially closes on 31st May
