Tanzania's President, Dr. John Magufuli, has arrived in the country to attend President Yoweri Museveni's swearing-in ceremony scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday.

Magufuli jetted into Uganda aboard a private Tanzanian jet, SH-ONE at 11:19am. He arrived amidst the morning drizzles accompanied by a small delegation from his country.

At the Airport, a visibly happy Magufuli waved at members of House of talent, a regional cultural group that welcomed him with entertainment.

He was received by works and transport minister, John Byabagambi and Uganda's high commissioner to Tanzania Dorothy Samali Hyuha.

The Assistant Inspector General of Police Andrew Felix Kawesi was also present at the airport to receive the President of Tanzania.

Magufuli is popular in Uganda for the radical changes he has embraced in his country including spearheading the fight against corruption since he took over office late last year.

He joins two other dignitaries, the King of Lesotho, Letsie III and the Premier of Swaziland Dr. Barnabas S. Dlamini who arrived in Uganda last evening on Tuesday.

He then headed to State House Entebbe for an official welcome ceremony.
