Contractors ready to handover Nebbi hospital

Works on Nebbi hospital started in February, 2014 and was to be completed by June 2015, but it’s exceeded it completion time by 8 months.

China Railway No5 Engineering Group, the company undertaking a $3.8million renovation and rehabilitation work in Nebbi general hospital has said it's ready to handover the hospital to the district.

Eng. Timothy Adhikuseka, one of the project engineers working with company confirmed that work on the hospital has been completed.

The contractor had been given up to May as deadline for finishing the work on the hospital. According to Adhikuseka, what is remaining are minor repairs.

Adhikuseka attributed the delay to changes in design, bad weather and interruptions in pay.

With its striking looks, Nebbi hospital located 1km from Nebbi Town on Paidha road seems at first glance to be something else entirely.

The hospital that was built in 1969 now presents a sleek, up-to-date exterior to match the cutting-edge methods of care within its walls.
