Christians set church ablaze over pastor's immorality

Christians of Jerusalem Church in Mukura sub county, Ngora district have burnt down a church after the church prophet raped a 15 year Primary seven girl.

Pastor Innocent Asalu, who is accused of raping a 15year old was the proprietor and prophet at this church which was burnt down by the relatives of this girl.

This pastor was found raping this girl but he took off. After a few tests, it was discovered that the girl was two months pregnant.

The clan leaders and the parents of the girl held a meeting where they agreed to burn down the church and breaking down the building that Christians had built for this prophet.

This is said to be the second time Christians are burning this church after the same prophet was accused of raping young girls in the village.

John Wabwire, the LC1 area chairperson says he has received two cases of two girls who are impregnated by the same prophet.

Gearge Francis Egigi, the head teacher, Puna primary school says the school has lost a girl who was promising them good results this year in PLE.

The LC111 chairperson of the area says this church is not registered with any religion or sub county.

However, the OC, Police Wycliffe Mabonga says police is still looking for this prophet to help them answer a case that has been opened against him at Mukura police station.
