Do you know that feeling after lunch when you just want to a find a cozy couch and to take a nap like a little baby? It may be because of the food or just simply human laziness, but it is a fact that after a lunch break we don't have energy and motivation for doing anything. However, these are some of the few ways to provide more energy after the heavy lunch. You could try some

Prioritize your tasks

When you first go into work, try to accomplish some of your more difficult tasks. When you are finished with them, it is almost lunch time, so when you come back from lunch you can to start with simpler and easier tasks that make you more productive and effective. This is very nice because when you accomplish these tasks you will feel very pleasant and this will motivate you to continue in that spirit for the rest of the day.

Challenge yourself

First, start to set your goals right after you enter the office. It is good to know that you have a lot of tasks which are waiting to be accomplished. A task that is waiting for you after lunch can help you to stay motivated even when you really prefer not to sit at your desk till the end of the day.

Reward yourself

Sometimes all it takes is the thought of stopping after work for a drink with your friends or going out for a dinner with your hubby to make you a bit more motivated. Or use bigger rewards: plan a vacation for the holidays, and use this to motivate yourself in the months leading up to it.

Eat healthily at lunch

Skip the heavy, junk foods, the unhealthy and the carbs. Try to replace them with healthy salads, veggies, fruits, or just something not too heavy. This will make you feel so much better and more comfortable for the rest of the day, and it will keep you from feeling sleepy throughout the afternoon. Eating an unhealthy and junk lunch can make you feel bad and down about yourself, which is not good for productivity.

Clean and organize your desk

Cleanliness means productivity, physically as well as digitally. Clean up your inbox from old or junk emails, get rid of unnecessary clutter, and when in doubt, throw it out. You will never use 99% of the papers that you are saving. If your boss were to come to your desk after you departed for the day, would you be proud of what he or she would see? One of the best times to clean your desk is the end of the day. It brings closure to your work day and sets you up for a clean start tomorrow.
