Mulago radiotherapy machine breaks down

Uganda's only radiotherapy machine at the National Referral Hospital, Mulago has broken down. Patients receiving treatment at Mulago may have to wait until next year.

Radiotherapy is a treatment involving the use of high-energy radiation. It's commonly used to treat cancer. Almost half of all people with cancer have radiotherapy as part of their treatment plan.
