Tourism board carries out a classification exercise on accommodation facilities

Uganda Tourism Board has embarked on the project of classifying Hotels, Cottages, Service Apartments, and Tented Camps Vacation Hotels to ascertain whether these accommodation facilities meet the required standards.

The Public Relations officer of the Uganda Tourism Board, Vincent Mugaba, says this exercise shall be conducted in all accommodation facilities located in Towns, along highways, tourism sites among others and before the end of this year; the classification exercise shall have been completed.

Mugaba adds that this exercise shall mainly assist tourists to identify accommodation facilities which are of good quality in relation to those of neighboring countries.
