Eighty people have been arrested for election crimes, among them voter bribery.
The suspects were arrested in the wee hours of Thursday morning from Bamukade Gardens in Kireka distributing sugar, flour, salt and cash.
Siraje Bakaleke, the Kampala East Regional Police Commander said the suspects will also be charged with voter bribery, dangerous weapons, unlawful assembly.

Elsewhere in Rakai, 3 people and 10 in Bukomansimbi were arrersted over the same offence.
Ibbin Senkumbi Masaka region spokesperson, said the suspects would remain in custody until courts open.
