Mother: I forgive killers of my only son

A mother of a Makerere University student who was killed last week by a criminal gang in Kampala has forgiven the slayers.

"I ask God to forgive those who killed her only son. He was my hope," a grief-stricken Annet Natumanya   told mourners who turned up for burial of Andrew Stuart Muzahura at Nyakinengo village in Kyeizooba Sub County in Bushenyi district.

Muzahura was killed on Saturday night as he was chatting on phone. He was attacked in Kinoni a Kampala suburb. When he tried to pursue the phone thief, he was beaten to death. He was set to graduate this month.

Speaking during the burial ceremony, mourners described Muhumuza as a brilliant person.
