Coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredejovich has challenged Uganda Cranes players to ensure that they put a halt to Togo’s unbeaten run against them when they clash in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Lome, Thursday.

Togo boasts an unbeaten record over Uganda in all competitions and Micho thinks a halt to the trend will reflect Cranes increased chances in the World Cup qualifiers.

“Our ambition is to pass and go through to the group stages of the world cup qualifiers. That will help us plan on how to progress,” Micho said.

“I beg my players not to fear Togo but to respect them. We know them and we know they will want to attack more in order to finish the game there. I just hope we rise up to the challenge on Thursday,” Micho said.

The team is expected to fly out to Lome in a chartered plane on Wednesday, play Togo the following day, (November 12, 2015) before the return leg on Sunday, November 15 2015.
