EMMANUEL Cardinal Wamala has called for peace dialogue in peace making processes. This he, said goes hand in hand with putting God first.

This was in a speech read for him by Monsignor John Wynard Katende at a dinner organised by Nile Dialogue Platform at Speke Resort Munyonyo.

“Pope Francis set a very close example  this year when  he met the former Secretary General of Islamic Centre from Argentina Sheikh Omar Abboud and Arabayo Abraham in Jerusalem  where they prayed together for peace. This showed that the search for peace intimately speaks volumes”,  he urged.

He thanked the Turkish Muslim scholar Fethullah Gülen for founding the peace movement which has fought for peace. He acknowledged the movement’s contribution in setting up educational institutions in different countries.
