AS the Uganda Cranes prepare to tour North Eastern Uganda and play a match in Soroti this weekend, the team has moved its training base to Rubaga Boys grounds.

Cranes media manager Katende Malibu confirmed that the team had shifted their base from Mandela National Stadium, Namboole until July 8 because the pitch was under refurbishment.

The ‘Cranes na Mutima’ tour courtesy of Nile Special is part of the initiative to mobilise a fan base for the national team.

On their return from Soroti, the Cranes are expected to play a friendly match against Malawi at Namboole on July 14.

FUFA is yet to confirm two build up matches against Seychelles, expect to camp in Kampala for eight days ahead of their AFCON qualifier against Sierra Leone the weekend Uganda will face Equatorial Guinea.

Uganda Cranes host Equatorial Guinea for their Africa Nations Cup qualifier due on July 19 at Namboole.
