Kyambogo applicants complain

Meanwhile, applicants for admission under the private admission system at Kyambogo University have complained that the online application system is non-responsive whilst confusing.

A student only identified as Arnold has been trying to apply for the last three days but could only manage to create his account.

“The system does not respond when I attempt to fill my details. I have spent a lot of money in internet cafés and yet I have not even uploaded any document,” complained Arnold.

Several of the students interviewed want Kyambogo to resume the manual application system, to speed-up the application process.

In a phone interview with New Vision over the weekend, Rose Bwire, the Kyambogo academic registrar said the university would only use the online application system this year and urged students facing challenges with the procedure to visit the university for assistance.
