A promising Ugandan fashion icon Rogers Tusabe, 27 has gone missing from his home in Kireka, a city suburb.

Tusabe is among a clique of fashion savvy boys that hang around Brian  Ahumuza of Abryanz Fashion Boutique.  He is in an open relationship with a male model Michael Tumusiime, 29 and has previously been  accused of spreading homosexual agenda among young boys.

The disappearance happened after he was beaten by unidentified goons  in an unprovoked incident while from a night out at Guvnor in Industrial area. An assault case Ref number:  SD/37/28/10/2015 was lodged at Jinja Road Police.

Rogers Tusabe's father Mr. James Tusabe confirms his son's absence.  He believes the boy has been misunderstood because he has been a victim of a hate mob that suspects him to be a member of the LGBT  community.

"We live in a strong Christian neighbourhood.  There has been talk of  recruitment of unsuspecting youth into the vice and unfortunately Tusabe has always been suspected," a family member said.

James Tusabe is worried about his son's whereabouts and fears the  open violence towards him could have prompted him to flee.  "We appeal to anyone who knows his whereabouts to report to Police," he pleaded.

Ever since president Museveni signed the anti-gay bill, which punishes  homosexuals, many activists are in hiding or have fled.
