VP Ssekandi stuck in mud

Vice President Edward Ssekandi abandoned his official car and walked for about a kilometer due to an impassable road in Masaka.

Ssekandi was on his way to represent President Museveni at the burial of the former Kadhi for Masaka district, Sheikh Huzairu Kiruta at Kibigi village in Butenga sub-county in Masaka district.

The Vice President's staff try to drag the cars out of the mud

The VP and hundreds of mourners braved the heavy down pour and the slippery muddy access road from Butenga to the burial site at Kibigi.  The majority of the vehicles including the Vice President's convoy got stuck on the way after the road became impassable.
