OVER 50 Kyambogo University students yesterday pitched camp at the institution, accusing the entity’s authorities of deliberately excluding their names from the latest graduation list.

Kyambogo’s second session of the 10th graduation ceremony is scheduled for Friday June 6. Students graduating under this session are those whose names were excluded in the graduation list for the first session. The first session took place in February.

“Even before the graduation list for the first session of this year’s graduation ceremony was out, I had fulfilled all the requirements for graduation but my name was excluded from the list. My name has also been excluded from this one,” said Bernard Akuma.

The University’s academic registrar Rose Bwire however told the students “who believe they have satisfied both the academic and financial requirements but do not appear on the lists to report to the university for verification between May 2 and 16.”

The students are urged to carry along identity card, admission letter, receipts and examinations cards.

Parents have urged Kyambogo to include all qualifying students in the graduation list.
