Vipers were held by Bright Stars, but still remained at the FUFA Uganda Super League helm.

Vipers tops the league with 36 points, one more than URA, which moved to second position yesterday after whipping Proline 3-0.

Moses Feni had a brace while Frank Kalanda scored one as the tax collectors, coming off a loss to SC Victoria University, got a huge boost.

At Namboole Soana registered one of the day’s biggest surprises by beating Victoria University. Former KCCA player Siraje Turyamureba was the day’s star silencing the hosts with a last minute strike.

But as Soana sparkled, another team that joined the premier league this season- Kira Young was being humbled by SC Villa.

Steven Bogere’s side had Victor Emenayo and Karim Ndugwa scoring for the Jogoos as Sulaiman Achero pulled one back for the visitors.

Bogere, who opted for lower division recruitment after many of his players abandoning him, said his new recruits have started bearing him fruits.
