General duties minister Prof. Tarsis Kabwegyere, has described former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) president Col Dr. Kiiza Besigye as a bad influence on the youth of Uganda.

Kabwegyere also said Besigye would never make it to state house given what he called his poor approach to taking over power.

“Besigye will never make it to state house he has tried it out for many times and failed, his current methods of operations like walk to work, confronting police are not good , I am even surprised there are people who still think he can led Uganda,” said Kabwegyere.

Kabwegyere made the remarks Wednesday at Pope Paul Memorial Hotel Kampala during a two days political mobilization workshop for student leaders from different universities across the country.

However when contacted Besigye scoffed at Kabwegyere saying the youth had young brains compared to Kabwegyere to foresee the future.

“The youth have young brains, unlike Prof Kabwegyere, the fact that they are identifying with what i am doing is enough,” Besigye told New Vision in a telephone interview.

Besigye also noted that he was not desperate to make it to state house but having a better Uganda where all nationals can have equal opportunities and access to the national cake.”
