Water crisis hits Kampala, Wakiso

Some parts of Kampala located in Kawempe division and those in Wakiso district are facing a water shortage.

Residents of Matuga, Kawempe, Gayaza and Kanyanya among other places trek long distances in search for water.

According to the residents, the water crisis has persisted for the last 3 weeks.

A resident only identified as Mukasa said they now buy a 20-litre jerrycan of water at sh1000.

Andrew Ssekayizi, the general manager Kampala Water asked the residents to be patient with them adding that they are doing their best to solve the water crisis problem.
