Two killed in Butambala accident

Two people have died on spot and three others sustained severe injuries when a lorry overturned in Butamba district.

The Lorry registration number UAS 064Y carrying charcoal from failed to brake.

This accident occurred at Bulo about 7 km from Mitara-Maria at about 5am on Thursday.

Beta Katureebe, the OC traffic Buwama police station identified the deceased as; Ali Bashir Lasoga the driver and Abubakari Mutebi both residents of Kireka in Wakiso.

The injured are Saddam Ssemwogerere a third-year student of Nkumba University, Julius Byamukama and Robert Lutaaya. They are admitted at Mulago hospital.

Katureebe attributed the cause of the accident to over speeding and overloading.
