KAMPALA - Most National Resistance Movement (NRM) parliamentary and district aspirants continue to get excited after picking nomination forms from the Electoral Commission offices in Kampala, each vowing to ride on the party’s achievements to glide through the primaries and to final victory.

Many of these include newcomers, especially in the newly created constituencies and those who tried and lost in past elections.

Nasser Basajjabalaba, a brother to city tycoon Hassan Basajjabalaba picked his forms and vowed to use all his fame and support to win the primaries in Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality and take on the FDC’s Odo Tayebwa.

Basajjabalaba will battle with Willis Bashaasha in the NRM primaries after the former also picked papers.

“I know I have the support and I assure my supporters that I have a lot in store for them. Working with the NRM government and President Yoweri Museveni as our national party chairman, I will cause the development that is much needed in the area,” he said.
