Strive for pro-people economy, ideology

Governments globally grapple with planning for their people but economic planning without a correct pro-people ideology is blind planning and claiming patriotism without being based on a pro-people economy is empty claim.

The original biological being from which man and woman emerged was crude and just instinctive. Associating itself with geographical environment in search for survival  led it towards picking on items that became tools for use to give rise to more refined items wanted and more appreciated for consumption to sustain its body.

It, therefore, became economic, emigrating from a mere world of instinct into that of economy. With economy, beings share those tools of production.

Ownership leads to relations as to who owns, who does not.

Because the tools are crude, they collectively and commonly give way to collective labour and common ownership of the land.
 
Subsequently, the economic system is communalistic.

History has witnessed a variety of economic systems according to how people developed skills which improved tools of production, led to division of labour and specialisation, resulting in private ownership of instruments and means of labour ending up with classes, one dominating another, based on exploitation of each other entirely against mutual love and friendship in society.

Hence, the emergence of masters  over  slaves, feudal lords over tenants,  capitalists above workers, colonialists above the colonised, then the post- colonial elite above post- colonial workers and peasants in  Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.

Economy, at each stage of social development in history is primary and determines the type of social consciousness in a body politic.

Politics express concentrated economic aims and emotions between socio- economic classes in a struggle for state power.

There has never been politics in history without classes and these are groups of people which differ one from another according to how they are related to the means of economic production and according to who labour or work, and who do not, plus how much of labour each class puts in labour processes to realise items for use or use values at the end of production processes.

Now in the history of private enterprise, who is primary and who is secondary?

The owner of capital? Or the labourer? Is capital primary to labour or is labour primary to capital? Analyze!

All tools of labour in history are from and through hands of a labourer, either collected from nature or made from it.

All modern machines and equipment are from labour.

All currency and legal tender in the hands of commercialists and traders are products from handwork and labour.

Factors of production are:

Tools plus raw materials plus labour.

Land is an instrument of labour which bears all these in their totality –both hu-man, hu-woman, and geographical totality at their disposal to produce final items for consumption.

Machines and raw materials in present day modern economy are non-live labour by those who produced them earlier before their being used now.  They are all a result of labour.

Labour in the history of socio- economic formations is primary and irreversible.

In history, there is nothing that did not come from labour in items of social utilisation except land, water and the air we breathe.

Labour should be looked at as a universal hu- man and hu- woman factor that has been able to turn all of us in the world into beings which are sharing common social interests in terms of food, clothing, housing and many other things and should be looked at and handled as an economic and spiritual factor that can unite all hu- manity and hu-womanity into one global social being based on harmony, mutual friendship and love.

Now on investors vis-a-vis labour:

An investor is:

a)     Somebody who has an ‘idea’ as to what should be done in order to produce either services or certain items for consumption.

b)    He or she has money to put in place in terms of machines, tools or raw materials to realise the required services or items for consumption.

c)     What he or she has are items which are both idol and inanimate.

d)    They are necessary factors and productive forces.

e)     But since they are idol and inanimate, they need a push otherwise they are just monuments and useless.

f)      That push, charger and stimulant is labour, power which harnesses the rest of the factors of production.

g)     That labour power is a capacity in a labourer which enables him or her to produce use values and services of any description in a variety of economic units.

Where does labour power come from?

Means of subsistence:

i)       Food:    This supplies calories of energy that enables a labourer to harness other factors of production to produce items and services for consumption. A labourer must consume balanced diet to sustain both mind and body. For under nourishment and malnutrition will lead to poor mental and physical standards of production.

ii)    Housing:   A labourer should be able to live in a house with proper lights, ventilation, clean floor, proper roof, water, appropriate hygienic facilities.

iii)  Clothing:  A labourer should be provided with or afforded types of clothing that will appropriately match with such climatic conditions under which he or she is working.

iv)  All these above mentioned categories should be made to fit properly within the wage context of the laborer.

v)    Labour power is a commodity with two types of values:

¨     Use value:   As a commodity it satisfies the needs of the party that buys it in and from, a labour market but as a commodity it is subjected to exchange value.

¨     Exchange value:   Which enables it to be exchanged for another (wage/salary) in a definite proportion.

¨     It is this wage that shall illustrate genuineness and truth in a necessary mutual friendship between the labourer and the employer so as to put in place and run an economy to the benefit of all in society.

Democracy and labour:

When it comes to production, those to handle tools, machines and raw materials are called upon in common and as a majority. At the end of production, all items, products and services are appropriated by a minority who took part in production. This happens in all privately - owned enterprises which are never characteristic of economic democracy.

There should be that necessary democratic link between labour and capital in all economic units that constitute an economic base in a country or society.

On the concept of a middle class:

¨      There can never be a middle class in a society which has not emerged on the basis of the expropriation of the resources of that society in which it is emerging.

¨     Land is a fundamental object of labour which should be shared by all.

¨     He or she that claims ownership of capital and establishes business on land above others has been given better chances of expropriation of that same gift of nature.

¨     This leads inevitably to egoism.

¨     Unless this stage is properly, spiritually guided, it can result in negative social relations.

¨     This is why it is possible to suspect that all these public servants who have been found embezzling public funds might have developed an aspiration for property accumulation in order to create a middle class.

Conclusion:

¨     Creating economic enterprises is very good but must be spiritually and ideologically guided as to be pro – people.

¨     There should be people’s cooperative society enterprises both in town and country run by spiritually well orientated patriots and mat riots.

¨     There should be a national labour movement conducted by spiritually well –orientated members of the working class wage earners.

¨     There must be intensification of ideological work in the institute of national leadership to cover a variety of departments and institution.

¨     There must be a national labour college for all workers in the whole country.

On the party in power:

¨     Economic  planning without a correct pro – people  ideology is  blind planning whereas claiming  patriotism without being based on a pro-people economy is empty claim.
