Gen. David Sejusa arrested in Kampala

KAMPALA - Gen. David Sejusa was arrested along Jinja Road and taken into police custody at Jinja Road Police Station on Friday.

Circumstances surrounding his arrest were not immediately clear.

The former coordinator of intelligence services, wearing a grey coat, walked out of his car (a Benz) as he was being led to the police station.

His vehicle was moments later parked at the police station as he was being led through the gates of the station.

Moments before, the former spy chief left his vehicle and animatedly threw his hands up in the air in a supposed gesture of surrendering, telling onlookers: "Come and see, I am being arrested! Come!"

Cars and motorcycles whizzed past by hooting loudly as the general  was being led to the precinct.
