THOUSANDS of Christians have converged at the Uganda Martyrs Shrine in Namugongo to celebrate Martyrs Day in remembrance of the 45 converts executed between 1885 and 1887.

‘Faithful to the end’ is the theme of this year’s celebrations, drawn from the book of Revelation 2: 10.

President Yoweri Museveni is expected to grace the celebrations. Among the celebrants will be the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda Stanley Natagali and the Archbishop of Kampala, Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga.
