Grace Nakimera is a local solo artiste who started her music career a while ago. Recently she had issues in her relationship over a lady who is one of her dancers snatching her husband, a businessman known as Andre, with whom she has a daughter. She is behind the songs Kawonawo, Bwoba Sexy, Anfukula among others. She had a chat with GLORIAS MUSIIME about her relationship.

Hello, how’ve you been lately?
I’m happy; I know you journalists are tricky you just want to find out about this story that my husband was snatched.

Okay, what really happened? Where did you go wrong?
My God, why don’t you ask him that? People amuse me. Our relationship is like other relationships, we have misunderstandings at times but it doesn’t mean that he left me. I still have my man.

Are you saying what was going around that he was snatched is not true?
Maybe… but my man is ever with me. But then again, people should stop being idle and mind their own business. They should get what to do. By the way, that dancer, musician model or whatever she calls herself should get focussed. For sure I don’t like people who attack others.

How did you feel when you heard about it?
First of all I couldn’t believe it and up to now I cannot believe it. We met in a decent place that’s why he cannot just run away from me.

What is the problem these days, why are there so many early relationship breakdowns?
People date on Facebook, in bars and really a man who got you from either Facebook or a bar will never respect you. I did not meet my husband at any of those places. That’s why you will never find me in a bar.

And yet your fiancé is allegedly in love with your dancer…
If it true then he is not worthy to be called a real man. Things have changed. For instance, way back then, people would only get sugarcane from plantations, but now it can be found already cut in a supermarket. That girl is like the cane in the plantation while I am the one in the supermarket. My man would surely prefer me.

What has he done to make you believe that he is the one?
He gave me a pretty, gorgeous, beautiful girl.  I have stayed with him for 10 years and we are still happy.

Is it true that he banned you from wearing skimpy dresses?
The truth is, I am a princess. Besides, I don’t like moving around naked. I grew up in a decent family and if he really loves skimpy the ones then I would dress that way. But he has never complained about the way I dress. It means he loves me this way.

What makes you different from other women?
I respect him so much, I make sure I make him a glass of Juice every morning and I cook for him. I kneel while serving him food. That’s what has kept our relationship moving?

How do you balance night shows with family?
The man I have understands me. When I am going for shows, I talk to him about it and I make sure when the show is done, I keep in touch with him until I go back home. He trusts me so much that is why we will never break up.

You recently shot the video of seesa and you said it cost you sh17m. How did you get that money?
Look at you… my man is the one who sponsored it. He even put a diamond ring on my finger. He is a man above of all men.

Would you miss him in case he decided to break off the relationship?
Of course I would miss my babe so much. But it can’t take me so long to get over it because I am financially stable and have my own house> I would get hurt but would cope up soon.

What is that one thing that you can't deal with if it happened?
If he refuses to kiss me. I love kissing so much.

What makes you excited in your relationship?
Lifting me up. I love being lifted and I can give him heaven and earth.
