Many women will sneer at the thought of going out with a broke fellow. Dating a wealthy man seems to be every girl’s dream. It makes sense because a wealthy guy can provide for you and show you the world.

A woman dating a wealthy man only dreams of escalators, snow and air hostesses. However, dating a broke guy also comes with its pluses, writes Angela Ndagano.

He can pray for you

A broke guy can pray for you and spend six hours showing you around his one-roomed muzigo. Whereas a rich dude is too occupied to pray and spends five minutes showing you around a mansion because he is too busy. So, ladies when you are approached by a broke guy, don’t run for your lives. Instead, look on the brighter side.

Time

He might not have the money to spend but a broke guy has the time to spend. He will leave the bar the moment he realises it is his turn to buy the next round of beer. If your broke beau is a football fan, he will only stay out late after winning a bet. What are the chances that  he will win a bet every night? And, you don’t expect him to spend the entire weekend playing golf. Golf is for rich people. So unless your man is a security guard, he will be home early.

The conversations

The beauty of dating a broke guy is that you will always have what to talk about. For starters, you can talk about his dreams.

After that,  he will make promises of what he will do for you when the dreams come true. When the promises are done, the wishes will follow.

And,  the relationship will be filled with hope because you will always speak in the future tense. “When I get my first deal, I promise to buy you a car.”

Well, there will be those times when the conversations will be in the past perfect tense; “No sooner had he paid me, than my landlord took the money”.

To keep in shape

One of the biggest problems faced by today’s woman is maintaining the perfect body. Ladies, dating a broke guy is your key to the dream body. You see, Uganda is among the few countries where unhealthy food is expensive. So, don’t quarrel at your dude because he cannot afford foods like pizzas, burgers and dip-fried chicken.

Instead be happy that sweet potatoes and beans will not make you fat. As you walk with your boyfriend from the hang out to the taxi park, celebrate the joy of healthy living.

After all, if he owned a BMW, you wouldn’t be getting the exercise. Laugh at those women seated in air conditioned cars because you will live longer than them.

Competition

Very few women want to spend long dates being fed on conversation instead of drinks. Simply put, there will be very few women after your broke man. Unless ofcourse he looks like William Levi.
