Fastjet, one of Africa’s burgeoning budget airlines has started flights from Entebbe International Airport to Dar es Salaam’s Julius Nyerere International Airport.

As the saying goes, the early bird catches the worm. So you can fly Entebbe to Dar-es-Salaam for as little as sh140,000, if you book early.
It is important to note that the closer your booking is to the travel date, the more expensive the ticket prices.

The airline also operates flights to destinations in Zambia, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Popularity of budget airlines

Budget airlines are mainly focused on short flights. The secret behind this business model is that the lower the fares, the more passengers will fly aboard a budget airline. To make this possible, budget airlines do not offer services such as inflight entertainment, meals, snacks and hand towels while you are on board.

If you want entertainment, you will need to carry a laptop or tablet. And if you feel the need to have a snack, you can grab a bite at the airport.

However, if you want to have a snack while on board, you pay for what is served separately. If you want to travel with extra luggage, you pay more money.
