2 killed in Mukono accident, 4 injured

Sorrow engulfed residents of Namirembe village in Kyampisi sub-county, Mukono district after an over-speeding vehicle rammed into a residential house leaving 2 people dead and 4 others injured. The deceased were identified as Eva Nabisubi and her mother Norah Babirye.

Sorrow engulfed residents of Namirembe village in Kyampisi sub-county, Mukono district after an over-speeding vehicle rammed into a residential house leaving 2 people dead and 4 others injured.

The deceased were identified as Eva Nabisubi and her mother Norah Babirye.  

Naggalama Division Police commander, John Bosco Sserunjogi, said the victims that included a Nineteen- year-old only identified as Nalwadda and a one-year-old baby girl were rushed to Naggalama hospital in critical condition.

Other victims were two young children belonging to John Zimba who was also in the same house.

Sserunjogi said that the accident was a result of over-speeding by the driver of a Noah registration number UAT 571Q who wanted to overtake a trailer and lost control.

He said that Police have mounted a search for the unidentified driver who caused the death of people.
