Gerald Batte, commonly known as “Njovu”, is a force to reckon with in the real estate business in central Uganda. Apart from owning several prime properties in Nansana town council in Wakiso district, he owns a hotel and several guesthouses around town. He is into commodity trading and also owns several wholesale shops.

 
But life has not always been rosy for the 40-year-old entrepreneur who, having toiled to pay his way through school, was forced to drop out in Senior Four. He told Caroline Ariba and Job Nantakiika how he managed to come this far
