Olympic champion Kiprotich's daughter dies

The daughter of Ugandan Olympic and World marathon champion Stephen Kiprotich has died, and was due to be buried on Saturday.

The one-year-old died on Friday after reportedly being bedridden for two weeks, according to the athlete’s Ugandan manager Godfrey Nuwagaba.

Burial would take place in Kapchorwa district, the marathoner's home town.

Kiprotich's third-born child was first admitted at Mbale hospital, and later referred to Mulago but died on the way on Friday.
