Back home in Uganda, he chose not to seek a job, but rather venture into his own practice. Setting out on own in his father’s office, Nsubuga worked long and arduous hours, but could hardly pay his rent or get by.

Nineteen years later, Nsubuga has built both a formidable reputation and a professional team. Today, his firm, J.E. Nsubuga & Associates Limited, which is behind notable architectural structures and designs in Kampala, is one of the most sought-after architectural firms in town.
