A woman who eloped with a pastor is cursing the day she met him after dragging him to police for conning her.

The couple made news in January when Pastor Amos Betungura (pictured down right) of Reconciling Gospel Ministries was arrested together with Peace Kiconco, a married woman whom he eloped with promising to marry her. true

Now Kiconco has filed a case, file number SD 44/ 23/03/2012 at Katwe police accusing the pastor of conning her of money. She said when they met he convinced her to sell off her Toyota Harrier because it had a bad'omen'.

She said shortly after the pastor's prophesy, the car was involved in an accident and decided to sell it . She said she gave the pastor sh30m after he promised to get her a Land Cruiser V8.

"Betungura told me my car had a bad omen and could lead to my death. Indeed after a short while it was involved in an accident and I decided to sell it. I gave him money after he promised to get me a Land Cruiser V8 but to date I don't see it," Kiconco said.

However, all was not rosy as the pastor instead bought her a second hand Nadia.

Kiconco says the pastor changed his attitude towards her even after she defended him following his arrest. She says their
misunderstandings started after he knocked her at the gate when she tried to block him from driving out before refunding her  money.

She says the pastor also started beating her up and mistreating her.

Betungura was arrested on Sunday night from his church and whisked to Katwe police but denied any knowledge of the money.

He had also first denied responsibility for her pregnacy of 6 months but later owned up, but said the woman was only his friend and did not promise to marry her like she claimed. He is still behind bars at Katwe police station.
