Construction of a multi-billion Referral Hospital by the Seventh-day Adventist Church has commenced.

The Bishop of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in central region, Pastor James Kaggya, on Sunday presided over the ground breaking ceremony at Kinawataka near Kireka in Wakiso district.

The 500-bed modern hospital is to be constructed on a 6-acre piece of land.

Works of a 5-year project estimated to cost over sh40b will be done in phases.

Kaggya asked the government to support the project which upon completion will benefit a number of Ugandans.
