Bishop Odama castigates abortion

The Arch Bishop of Gulu Archdiocese John Baptist Odama has warned Christians against carrying out abortions, describing those involved in the vice as killers, who will be punished by God.

Bishop Odama made the remarks while delivering his Christmas sermon to believers at St Joseph’s Cathedral in Gulu Municipality, who had gathered for prayers to commemorate the birth Jesus Christ.

Odama argued that the Bible strongly condemns acts abortion because it is murder of innocent human beings.

He urged all Christians to join hands in the fight against abortion and other vices that are rocking the country.

Bishop Odama appealed to married couples to be faithful to each other arguing that a strong family is key in building a responsible society.
