KCCA got off to a slow start in the Uganda Premier League by drawing with Police. Police took the lead through Osman Mutumba 13 minutes into the match at the Phillip Omondi Stadium.
It took a penalty kick by Herman Wasswa in the 73 minute for the hosts to rescue a point.
But Police coach Angelo Lonyes was an angry man. He accused the referee of aiding the hosts.
“For three years I have been coming here and there are always controversial decisions for KCC,” complained Lonyes.
His counterpart George Nsimbe was not impressed with his team’s form but also noted that he was let down by injuries.
Nsimbe was missing Richard Kasagga, Brian Umony, Tom Masiko and Paul Mucurezi on the injury list while the team’s playmaker Brian Majwega is in South Africa for trials.
At Namboole Bul Bidco showed scant respect for hosts Kira Young. Milton Kallisa gave the visitors a 10th minute winner.
Express pulled off an away win over newcomers Rwenshama in Mityana. Eric Ssebuguzi gave the Red Eagles the lead 13 minutes into the game before Isaac Sserunkuma Isaac stretching the lead.
Rwenshama pulled one back through Moses Okello with 11 minutes left.
