Jailed city socialite Bad Black aka Shanita Namuyimbwa currently serving a four-year sentence in Luzira prison has failed to pay sh100m for her bail.

Black, who was expected to appear before the Court of Appeal on Monday, was not produced in court to finalise the bail process.

The Court of Appeal, presided over by Justice, Stella Arach Amoko last week granted Bad Black a cash bail of sh100m to go abroad to remove her breast implants, a service that is not available at Luzira prison.

In July, the anti-corruption court found Black guilty of embezzling sh11b from Davenshan Development Limited.

Black was the only signatory to Daveshan Development Limited because her lover David Greenhalgh was away in Britain.

Meddie Ssentongo, the co-convict, was sentenced to 18 months in jail.

Bad Black was also jointly convicted with Meddie on two counts of conspiracy to defraud.

Bad Black argued that she needs urgent medical attention as her breasts and caesarean scar require close monitoring.

The judge agreed with Bad Black that her condition was grave because the implants in her breasts had to be removed and can only treated abroad.
