The hottest news on the grapevine currently is no doubt the Iryn Namubiru drama with hubby Franck Morel. The couple, which is locked in child custody battle for their two sons in France, is understandably no longer together.

While the Uganda’s sexy songstress accuses Morel of domestic abuse and threatening to kill her, the French man counter accuses her of not fulfilling her duty as a wife and living a reckless lifestyle.

The drama however seems to be taking a new twist as Iryn plots to somehow block Morel from relocating to Kampala where he is destined to take up a job at the French embassy as a culture attaché.

The Kampala Sun reports that Iryn has already notified the French ambassador to Uganda of Morel’s intentions to harm her and walk scot free as he will have immunity as a diplomat.

Iryn, in her own words, says: "Every time we fight he threatens to kill me, and that he will get away with it since he is to take up a two-year contract in Uganda as a diplomat, which will grant him all the immunity he requires to kill me and walk scot-free. So I have decided not to let the worst happen by talking to the press.”

The couple’s domestic problems came to light early this week when Iryn was reported in hospital in France treating injuries she had sustained during a scuffle with Morel.

On Monday Morel is reported to have assaulted the mother of his two kids at a train station in Lyon after she returned from Holland where she had gone for holiday with their sons.

Morel reportedly roughed her up, squeezed her neck in a humiliating confrontation as their terrified children looked on. The Police later whisked Morel to the station for questioning while Iryn was taken to UMI hospital.
