Hundreds of people including dignitaries on Saturday witnessed the ordination of three deacons and a priest of Lira diocese.
Among the deacons ordained and assigned responsibilities to serve diligently with faith and truth were Alfred Apunyo of Teboke parish, Leone Okello of Apac and Denis Olok of Aliwang parish.
The ceremony was presided over by the bishop of Lira diocese, Joseph Frenzilli.

James Michael Ebong of Lira Cathedral church was ordained as priest.
MPs including Jimmy Akena of Lira municipality, Betty Amongi of Oyam South, former minister of land housing and urban development Daniel Omara Atubo and other dignitaries attended the ceremony which attracted people across Lango and part of northern Uganda.

Bishop Frenzilli cautioned the four newly ordained servants of God to avoid indulging in criminal activities but serve God with good heart.
“Remain righteous as you work to serve God`s people,” Frenzilli said.
The congregation was thrown into uncontrolled excitement and jubilation as the four servants took their vows.
