After a hectic week, Stephen Kiprotich finally cooled off in a five star hotel.Serena Hotel offered a full board stay for two days for the Olympic marathon champion and his family.

After a hectic week, Stephen Kiprotich (below) finally cooled off in a five star hotel.Serena Hotel offered a full board stay for two days for the Olympic marathon champion and his family.

Kiprotich and his wife Patricia Cherop together with their two children spent their first night at the luxurious Kampala hotel yesterday. This was after a sumptuous dinner at the same premises.

Kiprotich's parents at State House Entebbe

Kiprotich headed straight to Serena after a historic breakfast at State House where President Yoweri Museveni rewarded him with sh200m.

But while the runner had to stay in the comfort of the city hotel, his parents were booked in Namboole stadium hotel on the eastern outskirts of Kampala.

It will be from Serena that the family will today head to parliament for yet more recognition. He will thereafter meet his employers Uganda Prisons before heading east for Kapchorwa.

Meanwhile Kiprotich also has an offer from the Madhvani Group of Companies to stay at Chobe Lodge.
